Sugar addiicts and carb junkies, this show is designed to help you. That's because this month, I'm celebrating 15 years of being mostly off sugar (what I call mostly sugar-free-iversary. As you'll discover, I haven't been perfect, which is one of the keys to my success.) In this show, I'll reveal -- along with my sugar-free mentor Roberta Ruggiero -- Secrets to Go Sugar-Free. (I also share many more secrets in my new book, Beyond Sugar Shock.) Roberta is the wonderful, caring, compassionate person, without whom I wouldn't have triumphed. Roberta was my life boat back in 1998. Roberta -- who has the most remarkable story -- which I'm sharing on my Sugar Shock Blog -- is founder and president of the Hypoglycemia Support Foundation, a fabulous organization she founded in 1980. The Hypoglycemia Support Foundation informs, supports and encourages hypoglycemics and the public about this too often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disease. It's a good idea to listen if you eat a lot of sugar and/or if you're having such confusing ailments as dizziness, headaches, difficulty concentrating, heart palpitations, mood swings, temper tantrums, low libido, cold hands and feet, and mood swings, you may have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), which can wreak havoc on your health. To learn about low blood sugar, I invite you to read Hypoglycemia: A Hidden Hell, excerpted from my first book, Sugar Shock.
